With our constant efforts, we strive to bridge the knowledge gap, overcome main challenges, and contribute towards transforming the future of underprivileged kids. With this vision in mind, TS-GWI has undertaken numerous initiatives like providing scholarships, computers, books and motivating them through knowledge sharing sessions.

Jyoti Fellowship Merit Test
Tata Steel Jyoti Fellowship merit test was conducted by the CSR team on 12th August 2018 at Tarapur Vidya Mandir School, MIDC Boisar. 147 scheduled tribe (ST) and scheduled caste (SC) students from 7th grade were shortlisted from 17 Ashram & other schools across Palghar and Dahanu Taluka of Maharashtra State. -
Jyoti Fellowship Awards Ceremony
To provide financial assistance for higher education to meritorious but economically backward Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students to enable them to accomplish their educational & career aspirations.

We conduct two knowledge sharing sessions every quarter. The team conducted a successful session at Betagaon Ashram School on safety and education on 26th June. It was designed to be an interactive and participatory session, and approx. 100 students participated in it. The other session was conducted at the NSS camp of P.L. Shroff College on time management and career opportunities in the CSR field.

Under educational support, Tata Steel Global Wires CSR council and TisWish provided around 750 notebooks to the 7 under-privileged Zilla Parishad schools of Newale, Gargaon and Khaniwade in Palghar district on 03rd July 2018.

CSR council and Security Department organised Safety and fire-fighting sessions for NSS and NCC students of P. L. Shroff College, Chinchani.

CSR team provided drawing material set for preparing Elementary and Intermediate Grade Examination of the Art Directorate of the Government of Maharashtra. These exams were instituted with the idea of encouraging young aspiring individuals towards art education.

CSR team celebrated International Deaf & Dumb day at the residential Deaf & Dumb Ashram school Palghar. Miss Sneha, from Tarang Warli Art, motivated kids with her experiences on dealing with the disability and shared the benefits of Yoga and exercise.

Under educational support, Tis Wish Organization Trust, in association with CSR council, provided notebooks, drawing books and snacks on 22nd June 2018 to all the under-privileged Zilla Parishad School of Newale in Palghar District.

On 14th February 2019, as a part of Provision of Infrastructure for Education by CSR, digital classrooms were inaugurated by Mrs Mamta Soni, chairperson of Tis Wish Organisation Trust.

On 6th & 7th February 2019, Tata Steel Global Wires organised various programs to celebrate Road Safety Week. Tarapur Vidya Mandir School & Junior College presented a nukkad natak on Road Safety and effectively spread the awareness amongst the mass, students and public places.
